This extensive refurbishment of the 165-year-old hotel involved significant structural modifications delivered across multiple stages over a 12-month period.
Working within an operational venue and to demanding construction timelines, the project modernised key areas of the hotel while preserving important elements of its historic character.
Our scope included the reglazing of all original ground-floor steel-framed windows, glazing works associated with a fast-tracked gaming room refurbishment, and the installation of a new balcony window system.
A unique challenge arose when the client requested that the installed and operational bifold windows be reconfigured to fold outwards rather than inwards. Our team successfully delivered the modification without impacting the project's handover programme.
