Kangaroo Island Air Terminal

The Kangaroo Island Air Terminal is the first impression of Kangaroo Island when stepping off a plane, so the goal was to create a building just as functional as it is special.

A near net-zero-carbon, naturally ventilated and off-grid building, the Kangaroo Island Air Terminal demonstrates the community’s commitment to maintaining worlds best practice sustainability credentials.

Stepping inside the terminal, travellers are immediately immersed in the islands relaxed ethos. With expansive windows framing the southern sky, native wildlife and flora beyond the terminal.

Performance glazing was used throughout to ensure ultimate comfort for those inside, overcoming both the accoustic and thermal issues that come with the surrounding environment.
