Completed in 2026, the Deep Maintenance Modification Facility (DMMF) is a landmark $200 million defence infrastructure project in Northern Adelaide. Delivered ahead of schedule, the state-of-the-art facility provides the capability to maintain, repair and overhaul Royal Australian Air Force aircraft locally, supporting Australian jobs and strengthening the nation’s sovereign defence industry. Aluco was engaged to deliver the aluminium framing and glazing package for the external office façade and internal fit-out areas throughout the facility.
Our scope included the facade and fitout of the attached office, incorporating Capral aluminium framing systems, including the Capral AGS 629 Series and Capral AGS 429 Series, paired with high-performance insulated glass units supplied by Chevron Glass. Designed to achieve both solar control and acoustic performance requirements, the glazing package contributed to the efficiency and functionality of the facility’s office environments.
With more than 100 workers on site daily, successful delivery required close coordination with multiple trades, particularly within the complex reception area. Additional security and access requirements associated with working on an active RAAF base added a unique layer of planning and project management.
